Attacking
Attacking is a hostile non-diplomatic means of developing your empire. You can enlarge your empire through battle or lower your opponent's empire. It depends on what strategy you are playing with. Because of this, attackers will have the privilege of choosing the type of attack they want to make on a targeted-unprotected empire. However, there are rules and regulations that you have to follow to attack another empire in the universe.
Different types of attacks
When you attack another empire, you can choose different motives of your attack. It could be you want to capture more planets for your system, destroying or crippling your opponent or just have a look (spy) on your opponent. Different attacking methods will result in different outcomes. You'll get to choose the methods or motive of your attack when you are confirming your attack on your target empire.
Note that defending empires cannot determine the method of the attack. Therefore, all players should beware when they are out of protection.

Attacking Rules
When an empire decides to attack another empire, it is always best to attack some empire that is considerably resourceful and profitable to attack. For example, if you attack an empire that has just been attacked. That certain empire might not have good amount of resources to capture or conquer or demolish. It would be just a waste of your empire's resources. Putting empires that have been heavily damaged into protection will give that certain empire time to build up so that it will profit the next attacker or build good fleets to do battle with.
That is why there are rules for attacking in this game.
General Rule
- Players who have suffered too much damage will go under Damage Protection
- You can't attack someone in Newbie Protection
- You can't attack if you in Newbie Protection
- Attacker loses if no ships left
- Defender loses if no ships left and attacker still have ships
- To win the attacker must ensure the defender`s fleet must lose more Pr than the attacker`s fleet
- You will win more planets if you attack someone stronger
Note: Newbie Protection is empires below 5,000 Pr
Attack - Invasion
An invasion attack is an attack done by empires for any motives it desires.
The rule for invasion:
- You cant attack someone 300% above your Pr
- You cant attack someone if your Pr is over 150% above their's
- At 1 bil Pr & above, attack can only be executed if the target empire is within 4 bil Pr range.
- At 10 bil Pr & above, attack can only be executed if the target empire is within 5 bil Pr range
Attack - Retaliation Invasion
When your empire got attacked no matter you are put into protection or not, you will have the priviledge to Retaliate Invade the Invader. You will be given a time frame for the retaliation. Only one retaliation will be awarded for one invation. You will not be rewarded if you perform a Retaliation Invasion. Becareful as retaliations have to be done carefully.
The rule for retaliation:
- You cant attack someone 50x above your Pr
- You cant attack someone if your Pr is 250% above theirs
- At 1 bil Pr & above, attack can only be executed if the target empire is within 4 bil Pr range.
- At 10 bil Pr & above, attack can only be executed if the target empire is within 5 bil Pr range.
Attack or Defend - Flanking
Flanking is a type of attack which is executed if the attacker's or defender's fleet outnumbered rival's fleet in battle in term of stacks. Only stacks from 2nd to last can execute flanking attack by choosing random target of rival's fleet. For example, you attack (or defend) using 6 stacks of fleet while your rival only have 3 stacks of fleet. In this battle, your 4th until 6th stacks will execute flank attack on rival fleet.
Current flanking damage is 90%.
| Stack | You | Rival | Battle Details | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | A1 | R1 | A1 attacking R1 | |
| 2 | A2 | R2 | A2 attacking R2 | |
| 3 | A3 | R3 | A3 attacking R3 | |
| 4 | A4 | A4 flanking R2 | ||
| 5 | A5 | A5 flanking R3 | ||
| 6 | A6 | A6 flanking R1 |
Note: Flanking efficiency has been reduced from 100% to 90%.
Win Planet Calculations
The more powerful the person you fight with, the more planets you gain as the chances of winning is lower.
| Attacking someone stronger | |
|---|---|
| Target > 200% | gain 3.6% to 7.2% |
| Target > 100% | gain 3.4% to 6.8% |
| Target > 50% | gain 3.2% to 6.4% |
| Target > 30% | gain 3.0% to 6.0% |
| Target > 0% | gain 2.8% to 5.6% |
| Attacking someone weaker | |
|---|---|
| Target < 10% | gain 2.8% to 5.6% |
| Target < 30% | gain 2.4% to 4.8% |
| Target < 200% | gain 2% to 4% |
| Target > 200% | gain 1% to 2% |
Note: `Target >` and `Target <` means the Pr difference between you and the person you are trying to attack
Encouragement for stacking
Players will gain a bonus when they use a balanced 6 stacks of ships when attacking. This means all the stacks are almost the same Pr, with the first stack having less than 20% of the total ship Pr
Bonus: 10% bonus weapon to attacker`s 1st , 2nd or 3rd stack (random)
The stack that receives this bonus will be marked with a yellow `*` in the attack page.
Stack spam penalty
How this works is, if the first stack of either the defending or attacking fleet contains more than x% of the total ship pr, that stack will do negative % damage. reinforcements pr (if any) will be calculated into the total ship pr as well.
this negative % damage will not work on reinforcements stacks
stack1 > 90% ship pr ; -50% damage from stack1
stack1 > 80% ship pr ; -40% damage from stack1
stack1 > 70% ship pr ; -30% damage from stack1
stack1 > 60% ship pr ; -26% damage from stack1
stack1 > 50% ship pr ; -24% damage from stack1
stack1 > 40% ship pr ; -20% damage from stack1
Fodder Spam
If the 1st stack does 0 damage (ex: fodders & scouts), then the hull will be reduced according to the damage reduction. For example if a player have more a 90% Pr fodder on his first stack, his fodder will receive -35% hull reduction
Tips & Suggestions
When attacking, although chances of winning is greater if you attack someone less powerful than you however the number of planets you win will be lower. The more powerful your target is, the more planets you will gain (if you are successful).
Reinforcements
The defender's vassals can send reinforcements. To do this, the vassals have to build some ships in `Outpost`. Ships stationed in the `Outpost` will be able to response against attacks. There is a limitation of 4 random stacks that will be chosen from total number of reinforcements.
Rules
- You can have up to 4 stacks of reinforcement ships depending on availability.
- Maximum of 3 random stacks from Federation members.
- Maximum of 1 random stacks from Lord / Vassal empires
Federation reinforcement may consists of 1-4 stacks if your Lord or Vassals are within the same fed.
- Only ships from your empire's outpost will be sent as reinforcement.
- You can only build two different stacks of ships in your Outpost.
- Only stacks which is equal or less than 25% of your empire's PR will be available as your empire's reinforcement.
- 3 stacks from Federation members and 1 stacks from Lord / Vassals will be randomly selected by the server from available stacks for reinforcement
- Reinforcement stacks will no longer be sorted by highest Pr (sorted means the system will automatically select the highest Pr reinforcements)
Reinforcement Cap Removed
With us going back to the old reinforcement ways, we have removed the reinforcement cap since Vassal/Lord will only contribute to 1 stack instead of 4 as previously which resolve the `Body Guard` issue
How Reinforcement works?
Let's say your empire's PR is 1 million. One of your systems is attacked (reinforcements will work on all your systems). You are in a federation that has 7 members and only 3 of them have ships in their outpost.
The ships in their out post are:
Empire A: 250,000 PR stack (i) & 300,000 PR stack (ii)
Empire B: 250,000 PR stack (iii)
Empire C: 200,000 PR stack (iv)
Therefore the server will randomly select two stacks from stack (i), (iii) or (iv).
You have 13 vassals and only 2 of them have ships in their outpost.
D: 30,000 PR stack (v)
E: 1,500,000 PR stack (vi) & 450,000 PR stack (vii)
Since you're suppose to get only a stacks of reinforcement from your vassals and only two stacks are available to you, either stack (v) or (vii) will be send to you as reinforcement.

Tips & Suggestion
Bare in mind that the reinforcement fleets will help other players to defend their system. Building fodders or 'easily killed' ships are pointless. Starbases are good ships to build in the Outpost. This is because you can build a high Power Rating of Starbases in short time and building them won't get you out of Damage Protection.
It's always suggested that good cooperation from empires are needed. When an empire is out of DP and online, the empire should disband all ships in the outpost and build offensive ships to attack. While empires which are in Damage Protection build starbases to protect the Not Protected empire.
It's advised to build reinforcement ships in your Outpost before you log off. This way your empire will save more credits and have high PR to receive reinforcement while providing sufficient reinforcement for your Federation Members and Lords.
When you are out of protection, you will be open to attack. If you below 50,000 planets it will still be easier to explore rather than to fight for planets. The difficulty of exploring for planets goes up exponentially after 50,000 planets making it more worth while to attack for planets rather than to explore.
You will gain planets only if you attack using Invasion or Retaliation. Planets you will win depends on how powerful the person you are attacking. For more details on winning planets read the Winning / Losing battles section.
Protections
Protections are given to players in order to protect them. This occurs to ensure fair play, and that helpless players will not be attacked. There are two types of protection in this game, one is the Newbie Protection and the other is the Damage Protection.
Newbie Protection
Each player who is below 5,000 Pr will be under Newbie protection. No one can attack those under newbie protection under normal circumstances with the exception of some special projects. Some projects built by the player may disable newbie protection from taking effect.
Damage Protection (DP)
Once a player suffers tremendous amount of losses this empire will be placed under DP (in-game icon is
). A player can get minimum of 4 to 8 attacks before dropping into DP. If the amount of percentage of Pr loss per attack is very little then the number of hits to qualify for DP will increase. DP given is in a length of time, in which the player can not be attacked during this protection period. DP can expire, the length of protection will be determined by the game speed. The slower the game speed the longer the protection period. DP will be removed if players builds any ship classes (Fighters, Corvette, Frigate, Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship, Dreadnought, Juggernaught and Special) except Starbase and Scout or launches any attacks.
Advanced DP calculations (Newbies please skip this)
Each player will be allocated 8 DP tokens once their out of DP. This token will determine how many attacks are required to send players (defender) into DP again. If an empire (defender) being attacked, DP token will be deducted depending on the following rules until all 0 DP token remain. The rules are
Minus 0 token if defender lost less than 2% of ship Pr.
Minus 1 token if defender lost from 2% to 5% of ship Pr.
Minus 2 token if defender lost more than 5% of ship Pr.
DP token reset will occur if defender attack other empires or retaliate the attackers. Fortunatelly it doesn't apply to builidng ships if defender already out of DP. Example:
Defender has 8 DP tokens & was attacked. Due to the attack, defender lost more than 5% ship Pr resulted minus 2 DP tokens. Right now, defender only left with 6 DP tokens & estimated of 3 attacks may send him into DP. If defender retaliate the attacker at any time before DP tokens run out, defender total DP token will be reset to 8 DP tokens again.
DP token is not related to winning or losing battle. It is to determine how many attack required to get yourself into DP. If your defense is very powerful & attackers always failed their attacks, DP tokens still will be deducted from your empire.
The DP refreshes every 1 to 5 minutes. When an empire's DP runs out, there may be an additional few minutes worth of DP before the system refreshes and move the effected empire out of DP.
Pr Change during Attack
Sometimes while you try to attack someone else you may see a message saying `Target Pr changed !`. This means someone else may have attacked this person, or this person has attacked someone before your fleet has reached this empire. If this happens try clicking on `Try attack again`. You will not be able to attack this person if this empire has falled into DP.
