BASICS

Diplomacy

 Lord

A lord can send reinforcements to his/her vassals whenever they are under attack. A lord typically acts as a 'big-brother' or 'big-sister' helping other vassals under him/her.

 Independence

You can gain independence from your current lord by spending a certain amount of honors. For more information on honors please check Command Menu : Manage Empire > Diplomacy > Honors. First of all there is no harm being someone’s vassal and to have a lord. Having a lord is similar to having a 'big-brother' or 'big-sister' to help you out in the game. It is only recommended that you declare independence only if you wish to change lords. This is applicable if your lord is not helping you out as much as he/she should. Also so long as you are not independent you can not change lords therefore the reason for gaining independence omes along.

 Tips & advice for lords

Since your empire level depends mainly on vassals, it is only logical that you should help your vassals out. You can help your vassals by building ships in your outpost so your vassals will have some form of reinforcements when they are attacked. You can also help your vassals out by teaching them some tricks or strategies in order for them to play better in the game. Ultimately the more your vassals improve in regards to their planet and population size the more your empire level improves as well

Navigation!

To see who your lord is, go to Command Menu > Manage Empire > Diplomacy > Lord or you can see it via your empire details which can be accessed via Command Menu: Manage Empire. More options are accessible via the first navigation.

 Vassals

Vassals and Lords are a complement to each other in terms of military reinforcement, financial aid and information. A Lord requires vassals in order for him to expand the empire.

Navigation!

To access your vassal information, go to Command Menu: Manage Empire > Diplomacy > Vassal. Figure 1 will be shown on Primary Display.

 What are Vassals?

A lord can command a couple of vassals under him/her. Vassals can organize reinforcements to help defend his/her lord. To do this, vassals can build reinforcement ships in their 'Outpost'.

 How to gain Vassals

There are two ways you can get vassals. A free way of getting vassals is to ask your friends to signup using your Vassal link. To get your Vassal link, click on Command Menu : Manage Empire > Diplomacy > Vassal. Your vassal link will look something like this http://uc1.GamesTotal.com?tft=xxx

Figure 2 : You can find your Vassal link here.

Now the other way to get vassals is to approach another empire and ask them to accept your vassal invitation. The more planets an empire has the more honors it will require to make this empire your vassal. If the person accepts your vassal invitation then he/she will receive honors from you. To check on how to gain more honors, please refer here.

To do this, go to Command Menu : Manage Empire > Military > Intel and search for an independant empire by viewing the target empire details, then click on vassalize. This will prompt the system to send a vassal offer to that empire. Remember to send a 'Private Message' to remind this empire of your offer, and if they accept to click 'accept' in the Command Menu : Manage Empire > Diplomacy > Lord page. It will cost you 'Planet x 10' honors for each empire depending on their planets size, if you do not have sufficient honors to vassalize those empires then the vassalize offer will automatically fail.

 Empire Level

The empire level is determined by the total population and planets of your empire and all your vassals. The higher the empire's level the more powerful projects and other features in which will be available to you. The population and planets requirements are:

Honour

Honors is given based on the total number of planets an empire has. The more planets an empire has the faster his/her honors will grow. Honors is used to buy yourself independance from your lord, or to vassalize other empires. To vassalize other empires you will have to pay honors to that empire; the more planets that empire has the more honors is required. The vassal empire that accepts this offer will have to pay honors tax from the honors received.

How do I get more honors ?

Honors depends on your planets you control, therefore to have more honors you have to gain more planets.

To be fair, honors only increase for active empires. That means if you do not login for a few days then you will not gain honors for the days you are not active. We highly recommend logging in at least once a day to claim your honors.

The last method is to upgrade your account to paid, as it will give you +50% honors.

Calculation for honors (Advance users only)
Honors is given out roughly once an hour : Planets / 20
Honors required to vassalize: Planets x 10
